Example Programmes
St Erme with Trispen School - a group of children from Reception to Year 6 took part in sessions in the school's woodland area. The school were keen to develop the woodland space through the sessions and during the programme children built a bug hotel, planted willow tunnels and trees, made bird feeders and carried out exploratory activities to discover the flora and fauna of the area before creating a nature trail for pupils.
Kennall Vale School - Year 3 & 4 children took part in a year round programme of half day sessions at their local woods, before coming to Camp Kernow in the summer for a 2 day camp where they applied their skills and knowledge.
Bosvigo School - Year 5 children took part in a programme of six sessions. Each day was planned around a theme for example 'Shelter & Survival', 'Myths & Magic and 'Forest Feast' - at the end of the programme children received a 'Friend of the Forest' award.
Camp Kernow works with schools across the county, getting children out of the classroom and into the great outdoors! We deliver Forest School programmes in a range of settings - here at our centre, on your school grounds or at a woodland location local to you.
