1. Definitions
Booking form: The online form submitted by the customer detailing the specifics of the booking. Total value of booking: The price confirmed in writing by Camp Kernow. Contract: The contract between Camp Kernow and the Customer. Customer: The parent/guardian whose booking is accepted by Camp Kernow. Deposit: The £100 paid by the Customer to confirm the booking. Participant(s): Child or children attending camp.
2. Conditions
Any variations to these Conditions agreed between the two parties shall only be binding if agreed in writing between Camp Kernow and the Customer.
3. Booking and payment procedure
3.1 A booking is made by the Customer completing and submitting the online booking form and making payment of the deposit amount or full amount. The Customer acknowledges that on Camp Kernow's receipt of this payment a legally binding contract will immediately come into force.
3.2 A non-refundable deposit payment of £100 followed by a balance payment 4 weeks prior to the commencement of camp.
4. Amendments and cancellations
4.1 Itineraries are subject to alteration due to weather and/or operational factors. Camp Kernow reserves the right to alter itineraries, replacing activities for others of reasonably equal suitability.
4.2 Any amendment or cancellation to a booking must be made in writing via email or by post.
4.3 Cancellations will result in forfeit of the deposit payment of £100.
4.4 Cancellations 30 days or less prior to the arrival date will result in forfeit of 50% of the total value of the booking.
4.5 Cancellation 14 days or less prior to the arrival date will result in forfeit of 100% of the total value of the booking.
5. Customer Obligations
5.1 It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to: (a) Complete and return Camp Kernow's consent and medical form at least 30 days prior to the arrival date. (b) Make special requests at the earliest opportunity in writing. (c) Ensure the participant/s brings suitable clothing and equipment as detailed in the kit-list. (d) Advise participants not to bring any valuable items of personal property.
5.2 Camp Kernow reserves the right to exclude a participant/s at any time during their stay if their behaviour compromises their own safety or that of other participants.
5.3 Camp Kernow recognises that every child is different and we will always do our best to accommodate children with specific needs or medical conditions within our camp environment. It is our policy to be as inclusive as possible. However, our ability to support individual children is dependent on our standard staff-to-child ratios. If you feel your child may require a level of support beyond what can be provided within these ratios, we ask that you contact us before booking so we can discuss whether camp is the right fit for them. Each child is considered individually and decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
6. Force Majeure
Camp Kernow shall not be liable for any cancellations, alterations or disruptions due to causes beyond Camp Kernow's reasonable control including terrorism, civil commotion, malicious damage, fire, flood, or storm.
7. Comments and complaints
We aim to exceed Customer expectations. In the event that the Customer is not satisfied with the services provided, the Customer should notify Camp Kernow in writing within 28 days of the departure date.
8. Liability
Camp Kernow makes every effort to minimise risk to participants. The customer acknowledges that there are circumstances in which an accident could befall a participant without Camp Kernow being at fault and accepts that he/she is taking part at his/her own risk. Camp Kernow only accepts liability for physical injury shown to result from negligence on the part of Camp Kernow.
9. Photography & marketing
9.1 Camp Kernow may wish to take photos of participants during their visit for use in promotional material. Please state your permission and preferences by completing and returning the form supplied by Camp Kernow.
9.2 Camp Kernow uses elements of customer feedback in some promotional materials. If you do not wish yourself or your child to be quoted, please inform Camp Kernow on the form supplied.
10. Data Protection
Personal data collected by Camp Kernow will only be used by us in order to fulfil our obligations under the Contract. All personal data is processed in accordance with data protection legislation.
11. General
11.1 If any provision is held invalid by a competent authority, the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
11.2 The contract is governed by the Law of England and Wales and any dispute will be dealt with under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
Your balance, including any extras, will be due 4 weeks before camp starts.
