Today started bright and early with a harvesting team in the garden picking fresh produce while a cooking crew got to work in the kitchen making pancakes, sandwich fillings and a sweet treat.
The focus for the day was to learn new skills and have a hands on experience under the tutelage of some incredible craftspeople from right here in Cornwall. Blacksmithing, stone carving and green woodworking were all on the menu and environmental adventurers worked in small groups and learnt how to use a wide range of tools to work stone, wood and metal into useful objects and art to take home.
A delicious dinner was cooked up by the kitchen crew and after dinner we headed out on a Wild Wood walk where we bumped into the Woodsman on our journey. He shared with us the secrets of the forest and the plants and animals which live there before leading us to the lake where he told us the very old story of Husted - the moondog of Moresk.
